The identity of Yeshua is a pretty hot topic of contention among the Jewish people.  Discover for yourself who He is through the writings of the Torah and prophets.  We discuss the Unity of God, manifest in the distinct roles of The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.  What did Yeshua teach and what does it mean for Him to be our Messiah, King, and Lord.

04

In the last episode we spoke on how God interacts with us through different, but specific manifestations.  In this episode we'll introduce you to His Spirit and the fellowship of Messiah, why we need them, and God’s design to help us.   The standard that Yeshua set is actually higher than the Torah, and in our own strength, it’s impossible for us to live it out.  The Holy Spirit is here to help us follow God and empowers us to overcome sin and shine the Light of God to the world.

05

Did you know that God has written a love letter to you?  The bible isn’t just a book of do’s and don’ts but a living and active book that can transform your life.  We discover the underlying themes that put the Bible in focus and how to study and apply the scriptures to our life.

Following Yeshua isn’t forsaking Judaism, it’s fulfilling the Torah and the Prophets when we follow our Messiah.  In this episode we look at what it means to be Jewish and specifically what it means to be a Jewish follower of Yeshua.  We reveal Yeshua in the Jewish Holidays how they foreshadow his first and 2nd coming.  We look at the triumphs and tragedies in Church History and Jewish history.  And discover how the transformed lives of genuine followers of Jesus have brought the Word of God to the nations.

Matt 5:1-7. Now that we’ve covered some basic principals of Who Yeshua is and what it means to follow Him, we dive into His teachings.  This survey of the Sermon on the Mount starts in Matthew 5 and we start with the first 5 blessings. These give a perspective of how we are blessed by God when we seek to live in a way that honors Him.

08

Matt 5:8-12 This episode continues this list of the blessed lifestyle, as we discover what it means to be pure in heart, a Peacemaker, persecuted for righteousness.   The blessings of God are not just for ourselves, but for us to impact the world around us with His Light and Love.  But just as Yeshua faced trials, when we live our life for Him we will likewise face the same when we live for God, but inside of those trials is a great reward.

09

Matt 5:13-16 - What does it mean when Yeshua says we’re the Salt of the Earth and the Light of the World?  God’s design is for us to make a impact on the world around us, and to share His light and Love with those we meet.

10

Matt 5:17-37 - One of the biggest misconceptions about Yeshua is that he came to abolish the Law, but nothing could be further from the Truth.  We dig into How Yeshua’s interpretation of the Law is actually a higher law that can only be lived out when we’re empowered by His Spirit.  Yeshua’s work was fulfilling the law, and part of that was writing His Law upon our hearts.

11

Matt 5:38-48 - Yeshua challenges us to live a life of forgiveness instead of retribution and retaliation.  This new way can lead to transformation and freedom not just for you but also to those that we forgive.  God expects for us to show mercy and forgive, just as he has forgiven us.

12

Matt 6:1-24 - Nobody likes a showoff, in fact one of the quickest ways to get God’s quick rebuke is to give glory to yourself in a prideful show.  Giving and prayer were always intended to be points of relationship with God, not bragging rights.  God isn’t concerned with our good works as much as the motivation of our Heart being right.  So how should we worship God through our giving and prayer?

13

Matt 6:25-34 - What we treasure and fear reveals a ton about our life.  Do we really trust God for our needs in life or are we trying to do it all on our own?  God’s desire is that our heart is centered in Him and free of worry, He will take care of the rest.

14

Matt 7:1-6 - To have clear vision in life requires humility and the right perspective.  God’s desire is for us to get rid of the sin that blinds us so we can see and help others in life.  Learn how to receive correction and help others God’s way.

15

Matt 7:13-29 - The way to God is narrow and difficult, and few find it.  Substance matters more than labels, and if we’re living in relationship with God, then we should see Good fruits from that relationship.  It’s important for us to examine ourselves and the foundation of our relationship with God.

16

God designed us to live in community with one other believers.  And some of the key steps you’ll take as a follower of Yeshua can’t be done alone.  Discover the power of community and the meaning of these important steps of Immersion and Communion with fellow believers.
